Well it's been a while since I've actually touched some of my projects (or even started for that matter.) I know I've said I was going to work on this, do that, release this etc. Here's what's happening so far with my projects.
Image Mirror
I put a lot of effort into the code that runs this, and I learned a lot in the process. I don't plan on letting go of this just yet as I still see potential. The code hasn't been touched since January and even then there weren't any new functions added, just some clean-up work done. Image Mirror is not high on my priority list because right now it works, and there are other projects I want to take care of first. When/if Image Mirror does get released out of Beta, I plan on renaming it and getting a ".com" address. I'm not saying what that name is because you cybersquaters out there will register it before me ![]()
Waim Server
For now, this project is pretty much dead. It's written in VB6 which is the first problem, second is that I've moved onto using Ubuntu as my primary OS and Windows just for gaming. I even took the demo site offline because it wasn't going anywhere. If I do start this back up (which I may, as it can run under Wine and thus on Linux) it will be just a web server instead of a "web-based AIM server." The reason for this is that I've really lost an interest for writing VB6 applications, and overall it doesn't seem worth the effort to write an entire application that will never be as great as other services like AIM Express or Meebo. I'll post an update when I fork this project into the Madeline.
oXyLite/oXySocket
The original creator of OpenX (oXy) is bringing back his instant messaging service. It's still under development, and I believe some of the protocol will be changing. This is still under development, I just need OpenX (oXy) to be released to the public first.
Kingdom Hearts Online RPG
I forgot I even had this on the projects page... I doubt this will happen. I don't want to mark it dead, but I haven't even started on this. Maybe this summer I'll take a shot at it. There are plenty of RPG projects that I could mod or I could make my own, it all really depends on how much work I want to do. The problem with huge projects like this is that they take forever to write by yourself. If somebody wants to help get this going just shoot me an email or something.
PokeBattle
This project is also pretty much dead. I haven't even added functionality to it. Right now I'm trying to learn Drupal API, esoTalk API and various things in php, css, etc. To sit down and learn the Myspace API and Facebook API is just something I don't want to do right now. Maybe one day I'll pull this out of the dust and start on it but until then, don't be upset if you don't see any posts about this project.
my.esoTalk
I've been spending a lot of time on this. So far I've been working on the web site, next I'll be tackling the esoTalk software to run all the hosted forums. This will be next project to be released from me, so look forward to updates on this.
Not Listed Projects
Believe it or not, there are some things that I've worked on that aren't on the projects page.
The first one is Gameboy Online. I'm still working on this, I have plans to redo it to look better and easier to administer.
The next one is t7h.co.cc. Yeah that's the name. It's a short url service I wrote for myself but you can use it if you want. The best part about this is that you can setup a bookmark with this url:
javascript:void(location.href='http://t7h.co.cc/?url='+encodeURIComponent(location.href))
and when you click it, you'll get the short URL for the current page you're on.
So that's about it. Some projects are dead, others are still slightly alive. Look forward to more updates about my.esoTalk soon.
